Since Spring 2021, numerous Yacht Crew and Captains have suffered with unexpected yacht agent, or broker fees, along with delays at customs or unwanted administration as a result of choosing to source their products from UK manufacturers such as ourselves.

Despite the fact Fendequip’s entire product range is qualified as having ‘Preferential Origin with Zero Customs Duties for some, the perceived hassle was simply too much.

During this time, we have continually explored all number of options with the aim of returning to a simpler ‘post-Brexit’ style of shipping that we know all EU customers would desire and for which our UK manufactured – ZERO Customs Duty products rightfully deserved.

After extensive research, we have developed a fully managed solution to relieve the ‘Brexit headache’ experienced by many… welcoming the introduction of:

Delivered Taxes Paid (DTP) Shipping from Fendequip

In essence, our DTP Shipping method offers the following benefits for EU orders:

  • Single invoice / payment (includes correct EU VAT amount and clearance) – Fendequip will Process this on your behalf, allowing your order to be dispatched as ‘fully paid’
  • No additional fees or customs delays – your order will not be stopped or held at customs for additional payment of clearance prior to delivery
  • Delivery completed as scheduled – no pre-delivery courier contact, risking possible delays to your shipment.
  • Money-back guarantee – in the unlikely event of an additional charge being made, we guarantee to reimburse you any fees incurred.
  • Avoid costly Yacht Agent or Broker fees

Alternative Shipping Methods

For some customers, an alternative shipping method may be more suitable based on a variety of factors, including where the vessel is registered or its location/status at point of delivery.

These methods can include:

  • DAP (Delivered at Place) – VAT paid by receiver or shipping agent on delivery.
  • T1 (Ship Spares in Transit) – Yachts that are non-EU flagged + non-EU owners.
  • TPA (Temporary Permission to Anchor) – Yard periods/repairs and maintenance.
